Paris in Springtime

Its been quite some time since I last posted. 
I have been really busy getting work ready for a show in the States alongside a couple of other exciting commissions.  More will be revealed later.....
Anyway I have just returned from a weekend in Paris.  All eleven of us started our journey at Mama Shelter, a hip hotel well worth a visit http://www.mamashelter.com/photo Chocolate was amazing, food was good and the company exceptional.

Staithes

We travelled north of the country to Staithes, we discovered a cluster of fisherman's ram shackled sheds on the beach of Port Mulgrave. Each little house was customised with findings from the beach. Colours were amazing; tobacco, blue slate, heather and dove grey..

The children loved the freedom of the beach, long walks, jumping waves, and gathering treasure in their buckets! We enjoyed the rest....

time for tea

Colour is bursting out all over our garden! It's the first spring that we have been here so everything that grows is a new discovery. We have planted potatoes, radishes and parsnips so far and there is room for much more.

I plan to tie my new print series together this week and start my new collection of paintings for Holmfirth Artweek, but first a cup of well loved Tea.......
